Denette has been in private practice since 2005. The foundation to her therapy approach is helping you learn how to treat yourself kindly. She has significant experience working with

Denette’s therapeutic approach includes her extensive training in mindfulness, self-compassion, EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, internal family systems and interpersonal neurobiology. She also offers coaching to parents and to those who wish to develop a practice of mindfulness and self-compassion. She utilizes her therapy-trained maltipoo, Shaq, in therapy as well.
Denette received her certification through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) organization. She studied directly under Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer who co-founded the Centerformsc.org. The researched benefits of self-compassion taught with mindfulness are impressive and even staggering.

- The full 8-week MSC course, limited to group size of 20 and open to the public.
- Abbreviated version of the MSC program for those who cannot commit to 8 weeks
- MSC curriculum specifically for Caregivers (medical, veterinarians, first responders, education, etc.)
- MSC for Adolescents/Teens (title: “Making Friends with Yourself)
- MSC for College/University students
- Concepts of Mindful Self-Compassion: 1-to-2 hour intro sessions
- Speaking engagements customized to specific audiences
